I graduated from Millersville University in 1992 with a BSEd in Library Science. I just completed my 15th year of school librarianship. I've worked at all levels and am currently a middle school librarian. My school has a new principal and we met recently to discuss the library. He started out the meeting by saying that he's a big supporter of libraries and wants ours to be the best in the district within three years. I'm very excited about having a supportive principal. This is the first time I've had a principal start out a meeting with me in this manner! I hope it bodes well for the future of our library.

Rockin' Reads is my student book discussion blog. It's been pretty neglected of late though. This year, I hope that will change. I'm working on motivational strategies to encourage students to use it again.
Favorite book(s):
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, Secret Life of Bees, A Confederacy of Dunces and the Twilight series
Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for adding me to your list of friends! I would like to see how you run your book blog. My student teacher just started one to discuss the Young Reader's Choice Award books on our site. Here is the address of our site. http://www.easdpa.org/ehs/mediactr/default.htm It is under the Join our Book Blog link. We just got started last week with the Blog. I am anxious to see what the kids think of the 15 books. Best wishes with the advocacy with your new principal. He sounds like a real supportive administrator! ...Candy
